Over the years we’ve seen design trends come and go, from traditional summerhouses and rustic timber studios to the recent rise of modern flat roof office pods. With summer looming around the corner and gardens springing to life, we wanted to highlight some of our most popular designs for 2022.
Our 5th most popular design of the season is also our newest design to hit our shelves. The sleek, softwood Modern Shed has been particularly popular in 3m width x 2.5m depth with frosted glass sliding door and translucent stained walls.
The Modern Shed is available in both ribbed softwood and smooth cedar plank cladding. Although cedar is a popular option, the ribbed spruce has been the top choice this season for the sleek new storage solution. Have a go at customising the shed yourself with our 3D design tool.
A firm favourite for some years now, the contemporary Flat Roof Log Cabin measuring 3m x 2.5m with a front of glazing and natural timber walls has continued to be a go-to design for 2022. The cabin features a double door with two fixed windows on either side to help light flood in without compromising on wall space for shelving and desks.
With ever-increasing popularity, the 3m x1.8m Prima Garden Office is another 2.5m high flat roof office that provides a comfortable space for working from home. This pod features double doors that can be opened in summer to create an indoor-outdoor space and two narrow, ventilated windows to help fill the office with light.
Measuring 3m x 1.8m, this Prima Office provides plenty of space for a desk or two without compromising on garden space.
Part of our luxury range of garden buildings, the Linea, specifically 3m x 2.5m has seen a recent surge in popularity. The Linea benefits from no roof overhang and uses horizontal ribbed larch cladding for style and durability.
A hot pick this year has been the triple desk-height window that allows for light, ventilation and a view of the garden from your office desk.
Most designs have come and gone, but one that has stuck for over a decade and continues to be our most popular garden building design is the Prima Mini Office Pod 1.8m x 2.4m. The Mini Office with three narrow fixed windows and a single door on the narrow end has become a favourite for its convenient size, stylish glazing and striking colours.
Insulated to the roof and floor and neatly tucked into the corner of the garden the Mini Office makes for the ideal home office for one, without compromising on looks!
