Garden Building Trends 2023

Garden Affairs entered its 22nd year of trading at the beginning of January, and we spoke to Richard, Sales Director, to get his take on the changing garden building trends and Garden Affairs plan for the rest of 2023.

How has GA coped with working in the post-pandemic garden building market?

"The pandemic was a busy time for us, and we worked hard to ensure we remained as competitive and efficient as possible without compromising on service or quality. Coming out of the pandemic we emerged healthier and stronger than ever. This is highlighted in our customer survey of recent customers where we came out with a customer satisfaction score of 95%."

Are you seeing a shift in how people are using garden buildings?

"The pandemic was very much about people working from home and in the last 12 months our sales have been very much split between 50% work and 50% leisure buildings."

What are the latest design trends for garden buildings?

"When it comes to colours, blacks and greys are still the most popular colours with natural timbers and greens making a strong resurgence.

With a dramatic rise in energy costs, we have seen strong demand for our highly insulated and energy-efficient Linea and Proline designs.

Linea is always popular with customers wanting to maximise space with complete flexibility of sizing in a contemporary design.  Our Proline range offers low maintenance with a clean modern design"

Looking ahead

What are you excited about for GA in 2023?

"We are so pleased that life has returned to normal, and we are once again meeting and greeting customers at our show site without restrictions. We love showing customers around and letting them see our designs and quality for themselves."

Can you give any hints about the plans for GA in 2023?

"We have some significant new developments planned for launch in 2023 as well as some great new options for some of our existing ranges. I don’t want to give away too much just yet but watch this space!"
