2001

New beginnings

Richard had created a new office space in his garden and it wasn't long until friends and family wanted the same. With a limited choice of suppliers at the time, Richard and his wife Poppy, a marketing consultant saw an opportunity to undergo a venture together.

2003

Turning a profit

Two years since starting their venture, and Garden Affairs was in the black! 

Richard's sister Jude joined the team. Garden Affairs were on the up and working all hours of the day to deliver their services across the South West.

The team of three rounded off a successful year with a 'party' comprising of a Thai Takeaway and a few glasses of wine!

2006 - 2007

Trowbridge HQ was established

A beautiful display centre in Trowbridge, Wiltshire was created, and it wasn't long before customers from all over the country came seeking a smart garden office.

Garden Affairs took on more quality suppliers and the team continued to grow their product range.

2011

1000 buildings sold!

One decade in and the fruits of their labour really began to ramp up as popularity for garden rooms - specifically, offices grew year on year.

The team, now 7 strong, hit the impressive milestone of 1000 buildings sold in the 10 years since starting.

2017

The iconic Linea arrives

In 2017 the final stages of product development were completed and the Linea Garden Room became available to the public.

The iconic modern garden rooms, redefined what a garden office could be.

2020

Pandemic demand soars

With the arrival of Covid 19, the team became extremely busy helping families adjust to the new normal as lockdowns changed the patterns of working from home.  By the end of 2021 we had supplied more than 4,000 customer buildings.

2023

Garden Living Annexe launch

With increasing demand for ancillary accommodation, the Garden Living Annexe range is launched to help families create more living space.

At the end of 2023, one of our founding Directors, Richard Squire retired.
