Crafted from robust 44mm timber, including a sturdy 19mm timber floor, all wood used is sourced sustainably and can be stained or painted to match your preferences. Factory finishes are also available for a more refined look.

    This comprehensive garden building kit includes double-glazed windows, all necessary fixings and fastenings, high-quality door hardware, and detailed assembly instructions. It's designed for easy DIY assembly over a day or two, requiring only basic carpentry skills. Alternatively, you can opt for professional installation by Garden Affairs.

    • Do I need a site visit?

      In most cases, we find that this is not necessary. Our designers are experienced in all aspects of garden room design and build and are able to prepare plans to your specification without the need to visit your garden.

    • Do I need planning permission?

      Many of the buildings we offer comply with permitted development rights and do not require further planning permission. For larger buildings and special planning zones, additional permission may be required. Read our comprehensive planning guide to establish any additional permissions that you may require.     • Can I assemble the building myself?

      Many of our garden buildings can be self-assembled by a competent DIY enthusiast and a couple of helpers. A smaller build can be assembled as a weekend project making a perfect opportunity to call in favours from both friends and family!

      While we cannot determine if the "DIY" approach is right for you, we can tell you that Garden Affairs customers of all skill levels and ages have had great fun with the assembly of our buildings. Learn more

    • Can the walls be insulated?

      The Prima Pod includes insulation to the roof and floor. The walls cannot be insulated but the 44mm timber walls supply natural insulation.

    • Can the eaves overhang be taken off?

      The Prima Pod’s overhang can be reduced on one or two sides, but not across the whole building.
