How much will a garden room add to my house value?

An article in the "Money" section of The Telegraph newspaper on Saturday 31st March 2018 (shown below) states that investing in a garden room can add substantial value to your property, in the example offered, it is reported that an investment of £6,653 could add £35,611 to an average home!

Obviously, the exact amount will depend on your location in the country,  and other variables including the style and size of your home. But, one thing is certain, where house prices are high (for example in London or Bath), creating space for work or hobbies most certainly increases buyer interest and value.

Many Garden Affair's customers (based all over the country) have returned to purchase another building when they move to a new home, stating that for them, it is a very cost effective solution to adding floor space and when selling, on average, it has added at least 5% to the value of their property.

The benefits of a garden room include minimum disruption and cost compared to an extension or loft conversion, with build times being a matter of days rather than weeks.  With insulation and double glazing, the building can be used for a whole variety of uses (and in all weathers) including a garden office, a play room, teenage den, for hobbies, a gym, as additional accommodation, or simply for relaxation.
