Delivery by Garden Affairs

If you are within our installation area, we can arrange delivery on our smaller lorries or vans. This will incur an additional charge depending on your distance from our office in Trowbridge. Please contact us for a quotation. Deliveries by Garden Affairs are only available when we are installing your building.

We deliver with either a large van or an 8m long, 7.5ton flatbed lorry depending on the size of the building and road access. We will require adequate space to park and offload either outside the property or adjacent to the assembly site. Our installation team will then offload the components by hand.

Garden Affairs Van

Delivery via haulier with HIAB crane offload.

In the case of self-assembly, where access is restricted, we can quote for a Hiab delivery with forklift offload to roadside/driveway if possible. This will incur an additional charge depending on your distance from the haulier. The lorry will require access and space to park and offload. The driver will not be able to unpack or move the individual components from where they are set down.

Hiab vehicle

Direct Deliveries via articulated lorry.

Direct deliveries are direct from the factory, on a 60 foot long, 40-ton articulated lorry which carries its forklift truck to move and offload the pallets.

The buildings are supplied palletised and wrapped in protective plastic. The pallets are off-loaded and left at the roadside or on your driveway if access permits. The driver needs 6m of road width to park and off-load from the side of the vehicle. We will notify you of the planned delivery date the Friday before the week of delivery.

It is not possible to request specific dates or times with direct deliveries and they are advised as either AM (7.00 am – 12.00 noon) or PM (12.00 noon to 7.00 pm) delivery slots.

You must ensure that you or your representative are available on the day of delivery to instruct the driver where to drop the pallets and to sign for your building. The driver will not be able to unpack or move the individual components from where they are set down.

If you wish to make your transport arrangements, your building can be collected from our office in Trowbridge. To do so, you will need a vehicle to accommodate the size and weight of the building you have ordered. Once the building has been delivered to us we will be able to provide the exact pallet dimensions when the building arrives. We allow 7 days for you to collect the building before storage charges are incurred. Payment will be required in full before collection.

Clean air zones & commercial vehicle restrictions

Some cities now enforce clean air zones or congestion charges for commercial vehicles. If you live in one of these areas or we need to enter one of these areas to access your property for a delivery or installation additional charges will apply and will be added to your balance invoice. Please inform us as soon as possible if this is the case.

Parking charges and visitor permits

If parking charges apply to deliver or install in your area please have visitor permits available for the duration of the delivery or assembly. Alternatively, charges can be added to your final balance.

It’s been a long time coming and I feel very happy we have finally got there. I can’t wait to get it kitted out and we are using it to its full potential for both work and play. I would also like to add praise for the guys putting up the summerhouse: they not only worked hard, but were very courteous and polite, and coped very well with the few minor concerns I had. I will recommend…”
