Help! Our garden is tiny, what can you offer?

The first in a series sharing customer's questions.  This customer was looking to fit a building in to a very tight space.

Customer Question:

Dear Garden Affairs, we need an extra space for an art studio.  Our house is bursting at the seams, and my husband is fed up with me leaving all my art materials out on the kitchen table. We are looking for a construction that can be placed very close to a garden boundary, because our garden is tiny!  I know a lot of garden buildings have to be half a metre from a boundary because of roof overhangs, which makes them unsuitable.

We want double glazing and insulation and electrics.  Is there a solution you can suggest which solves our problem?  We need about 3m x 2.5m with a flat roof under 2.5m to comply with planning regulations.  


For your garden we recommend a building from our Linea range.  The Linea range is a very attractive, contemporary design and is ideal for placing close to a boundary wall because it has no roof overhang.  The Linea buildings are constructed form larch wood a very durable timber that performs like a hard wood, therefore requiring little to no maintenance once installed. 
The building has pre-fabricated walls, meaning that it can be installed from the inside out (in other words our installers won't need to stand in your neighbour's garden to finish the building!)  You can also opt to have our Linea range pre-painted or stain finished at factory level from a wide range of colours.

The buildings benefit from being insulated in the roof, floor and walls, meaning they can be used all year round.  We can offer either first fix cabling ready for your electrician to finish or full electrics with our qualified electrician (connection is quoted on site).  Electrics offered include heating, lighting and power, we also offer data cabling and a range of heating options.

We can quote you for a 3m x 2.5m building; all you will need to do is decide on the style of doors/windows you would like.  We recommend a visit to our display centre to see the wide variety of options available.   

Above is an example of a Linea building 3m x 3m (can be made 3m x 2.5m) offering plenty of natural light for your art activities from the glazed door/window to the front elevation.  The customer opted for a pale grey stain and white doors/windows.
