How to assemble a Mini Office
It’s often assumed that the Mini Office is built in panels. However, the building is constructed from individual tongue and groove wall boards stacked one on top of the other and slotted into corner posts. This means the building components can be easily moved into most gardens without the need for any lifting equipment.
Once the walls are up, the doors and windows easily slot into place before the roof joists are installed to support a tongue and groove ceiling. The roof is finished with a durable EPDM rubber membrane and aluminium trim. The build is then completed with a 19mm tongue and groove floor.
How long does it take to assemble?
The Mini Office has been designed to assemble easily and quickly for tradesmen and DIYs alike. Everyone works at a different pace, but for most, with good weather and not too many tea breaks, the Mini Office can be installed over a weekend.
We put our money where our mouth is last year and challenged two of our office staff who had minimal DIY experience to assemble a Mini Office building. In total the team of two knocked up the office in 16 hours, including several breaks for photos and food!
If you’re looking for a faster, hassle-free installation, you can have our team of expert in-house installers assemble the Mini Office within 100 miles of our Trowbridge office. Our team have assembled hundreds of these office pods and with care taken on every assembly. The team at their fastest can skilfully deliver and installed a Mini Office in less than a day!

Although a relatively simple installation, the Mini Office is by no means a garden shed. It’s handy to have some previous experience with DIY timber projects to give you the best chance of a stress-free installation.
The garden office kit arrives with a bag full of screws, nails and instructions, but there are some tools you’ll need to acquire for the assembly:
- Timber panel saw
- Metal Hack saw
- Claw hammer
- Electric drill
- T20 & T25 drill bit
- Stanley knife
- Sealant gun
- 70mm hole saw
With your tools ready to go and a can-do attitude, we’re confident that the average DIY’er can knock one of our office pods up in two days.
