Timber Garages & Workshops - Premium Quality

Your best choice for quality, made to measure Garages

A place for woodworking, renovating your classic car or bike, or just a hideaway to store your tools. If you are looking for a quality, practical, attractive, single timber garage, double timber garage or a garden workshop, that's value for money and built to last, then look no further.

Our high quality, timber garages and log cabin style garden workshops are available either as self-assembly kits, delivered to your door, or fully installed in a couple of days by our installation team.

Designing the Perfect Garage or Workshop For Your Property

Start by exploring our different styles above. There are countless design options to choose from, but if you don't find the exact wooden garage you want, then we will design one just for you from scratch.  There is no extra cost to design the right garage for you.

All Garden Affairs garages and garden workshops are available in standard sizes and styles with in-built security features throughout. From there, you can customise the size and layout to suit your needs.  If you are planning to use your garage or workshop all year round; insulation and double-glazing upgrades are available.

Choices, Choices, Choices ...

Our log cabin style garages can be made in any size or style to suit you.  Choose from a flat roof under 2.5m high to satisfy current planning regulations, or a more traditional pitched roof.  High quality residential standard bitumen felt shingles will keep your garage completely dry or choose a cedar shingle for a truly unique finish.  Opt for a single or double garage, or even a garage with a garden office or studio attached, making it a truly flexible building to use all year round.

Our unique Suffolk Timber Garage is both a stylish and traditional addition to your home, a high quality panel construction garage that can be made to longer lengths if required.

A new timber garage is an important investment in your home. All Garden Affairs timber garages are constructed in first class Northern European pine, available in 44mm or 68mm timbers for both strength, warmth and practicality. All timber is kiln dried to minimise shrinking and cracking, and what's more the doors and windows are of the very highest quality.

Treatment & Maintenance

Our wooden Garages and workshops come untreated as standard, but you can opt for a factory pre-treatment and stain finish in a choice of 4 colours: white, oak, blue or green.  Alternatively, treat and paint yourself.  Our recommended treatments and colour finishes are water based, and last up to 6 years making them a low maintenance option.

How Hard Are Our Kits to Build?

Putting your Garden Affairs garage together is surprisingly easy, if you are DIY minded, then with the help of a couple of friends, it could be a very enjoyable weekend project.  Rest assured, we are here if you have any questions and you can contact us at any time.

Alternatively, if the DIY option is not for you, then let us take the strain.  Our in-house team (we do not use subcontractors) are experts and will have your garage up in a day or two ready for you or your car to move in.  All prices for installation are shown on our individual garage pages.

Do I Need Planning Permission?

Garages are usually sited close to a boundary, are big buildings and often require planning permission. We can help here too. We recommend that first you read our handy guide to planning permission and timber garages, then enquire with your local planning office.  If you do require planning, we will help you every step of the way, including handling the whole process for a fixed fee if you require.

Anything else to think about?

What you plan on using your garage for will affect its design. If you're planning to use it for more than just the car, for example as a workshop, you will probably want to add electrics or even install plumbing.  We can run wiring for you, but you will need to engage a professional tradesperson for the installation of electric and plumbing.   If you're going to heat it during the colder months, our timber double glazed doors and windows are a great option. You may also want to insulate your garage roof and floor, or add a mezzanine level for storage space.

A partition wall is a great idea if you want to create extra rooms. Or why not add a porch like the Oklahoma Timber Garage for storage of wood or bikes?
